Microblading or powder brows is a way of semi-permanent make-up, where through manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin we create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. The effects last up to 12 months after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows exactly as they were.
Investing an hour or two of your time can make you beautiful for years to come. The procedure is split into 2 appointments, which are 4-8 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take from 90 to 120 minutes, and your second appointment takes from 60-90 minutes.
Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing colour and shape to some extent. Colors will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and remember it takes time to adjust to a new look!
Everyone has different pain tolerances. Most clients barely feel a thing – some even fall asleep while others find the pain intense, but manageable. The therapist will always try her best to make you are as comfortable as possible and manage any discomfort.
At HeavenBerg, we use a numbing cream prior to the procedure as well as a topical anesthetic during the procedure. Less or more anesthetic can be used as needed.
Generally, two treatments are needed within a 4-8week period, as a second touch-up session is usually needed after your brows have healed. Some require more than one touch-up (i.e. tattoo cover up, iron deficiency, active lifestyle, excessive sun, etc) and some none at all.
There are many things that affect how long Microblading ,Powder will last such as your age, time spent in the sun and how strenuously you exfoliate your skin. Typically, results last for 6 months to 2 years. If you have touch-up treatments along the way, this will extend the life of your Microblading or other procedures.
After the session is over, they will look 50-60 percent darker than they will look after they have healed. Additionally, the Microblading strokes will look thicker than your natural hair until it, also, has healed. This is all part of the procedure and completely normal.
After Microblading or other PMU your brows need to heal. The pigment has not yet set into the skin so please avoid excessive sweating, sun exposure, tanning and any abrasive facial treatments. Keep away from water for 10-14 days; Apply A & D Ointment times a day or keep it dry if you have oily skin, however as artist suggested after appointment ,Scab will appear on day 5 -6 and continue flaking true out whole week , Do not pick scab. There will be some mild redness which, in most cases, goes away quickly. We will give you clear, step-by-step aftercare instructions the day of the treatment.
